We're seeking a STAGE MANAGER for the TDPS main stage production of Everybody by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (author of the play Appropriate currently running on Broadway) directed by our new Assistant Professor of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies in the Performing Arts Department, Dr. Diego Villada. The play was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2018, and the 2017 off-Broadway production starred playwright/actor Jocelyn Bioh and Chris Perfetti (from Abbott Elementary). It is an updated riff on the 15th Century morality play Everyman. Dr. Villada and the production team (technical director Professor David Smith and resident scenographer Dr. Heidi Castle-Smith) have put together a terrific cast and designs, and it's going to be a really exciting production.

Rehearsals resume after spring break, and the performance runs April 24-28 in the Bruce Davis Theater. Students receive hands-on training in valuable stage-management skills and up to two hours of upper-level academic credit is available. Rehearsals are in the evenings and on weekends, and the schedule for a stage manger up until the week before technical rehearsals begin can be negotiated with the director based on the student's availability. Please contact program co-chair Dr. Amy Steiger (alsteiger@smcm.edu) with any questions.
